Our Commitment to Peace and Development in Eastern Congo

Amidst the ongoing turmoil in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Solidariedade Na Mokili recognizes the urgent need for peacebuilding efforts to address the devastating consequences of conflict. The eastern Congo has been marred by violence, instability, and humanitarian crises for far too long, with communities bearing the brunt of armed conflicts, displacement, and human rights abuses.
Solidariedade Na Mokili is taking proactive steps to foster sustainable peace and reconciliation through the Eastern Congo Peacebuilding Summit 2024 to confront this dire situation. This summit is a pivotal platform for bringing together key stakeholders, including government officials, non-governmental organizations, community leaders, and international partners, to collectively address the root causes of conflict and chart a path toward lasting peace in the region.
Held at the prestigious United Nations Palais des Nations in Geneva, the summit signifies a significant milestone in our commitment to promoting peace and stability in the eastern Congo. By convening at this esteemed venue, we aim to leverage the international community’s expertise, resources, and diplomatic support to advance peacebuilding initiatives in the region.
The Eastern Congo Peacebuilding Summit 2024 will facilitate dialogue, collaboration, and strategic partnerships to address the multifaceted challenges facing the eastern Congo. Through comprehensive discussions, innovative solutions, and concrete action plans, we seek to empower local communities, promote inclusive governance, and strengthen institutions to mitigate conflict and build resilience.
At its core, the summit embodies our unwavering belief in the transformative power of collective action and solidarity in advancing peace and reconciliation. Together, we aspire to pave the way for a future where the people of eastern Congo can thrive in peace, security, and prosperity.

At the Eastern Congo Peace Building Summit 2024, we are committed to fostering collaboration, addressing conflicts, and building a brighter future for all in Eastern Congo. Our values are grounded in peace, stability, and prosperity, and we are dedicated to promoting sustainable peace and development in the region.
